AT&T Principal Member of Technical Staff in St Louis, Missouri
The Principal Member of Technical Staff develops solutions to complex business and technical problems using expert level engineering principles that have significant impact on the business. Applies engineering principles and practice in broad areas of complex technical project work that requires in-depth analysis using advanced techniques, knowledge, and expertise. Implements innovative thinking to develop software solutions within project teams. This is an independent contributor who determines and pursues course of action necessary to achieve results. Position will also work closely with the Program Managers, Solution Architects, System Engineers, Developers, Tier Support and Testers to ensure that overall program and product strategies align with business and technical specifications, while working across multiple internal and/or external organizations.
Significant Experience in Java and related Skills: Java 8, Spring boot, Log4j, Junit
Significant experience with deployment using Docker, Kubernetes; Public Cloud certifications and experience with Azure and migrating and supporting applications on to the Azure public cloud, experience with deploying in a LINUX environment using a large-scale Cassandra database.
In-depth experience and certifications with methodologies such as Agile, SAFe & DevOps
In-depth experience with development with databases such as MySQL, Apache Cassandra, Graph databases (such as Janusgraph, a plus)
In-depth experience with tools like Eclipse, Intellij, Git, Maven, Jenkins, Swagger, JIRA, SoapUI/Postman, Robot, Virtual Box
In-depth experience with Web services (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML)
Experience with Application and web servers such as Jetty
Experience with Security/Authorization using 2-way SSL
Experience working with, integrating, and contributing to Open Source Software
Education/Experience requirement: PhD in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or Masters in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or a Bachelors in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
