Aerotek Coordinator in Sutherland, Virginia

Flexibility for all departments is essential

Candidates will be working in one of two main departments with the other Aerotek associates and their day to day responsibilities and goals in loading and unloading will be just like everyone else in the department however they will have additional responsibilities in managing around the punches in and punches out, constant communication with the Richmond Field office, tracking of attendance, performance monitoring and timely break schedules.

Candidates will be expected to learn and execute Aerotek policies as it relates to accident reporting, attendance monitoring, communication with supervisors and Walmart management and communication with Internal Aerotek employees.

*Loaders

Manage freight flow by moving and loading freight manually as contract associates will not be operating mobile equipment. Loaders will identify, separate, count, combine and scan freight using Warehouse management system terminal, scales and scanners

*Candidates will be responsible for handling and processing freight in a safe and cautious manner, tell management about unsafe work conditions and damaged product, and maintain a clean work area.

  • Loaders will be responsible for specific ways to load trucks as materials come down the conveyor systems or are delivered to them; i.e. heavy products on the bottom and lighter product on the top as their primary duty is material handling. This is a very labor intensive job as they could be off and on the backs of trailers however they will not be loading any non-conveyable product.

*Primary duties include picking up boxes and placing them on a belt, pallet or trailer.

Will enter and locate information on a computer or system communication device , must be able to write documents or reports if needed.

*This is primarily a job where they will stay near the dock all day as there isn't a significant amount of walking

Unloaders and Cross Dock

*Candidates will be responsible for managing deliveries that are received; managing and moving floor level freight only via hand or manual pallet jack and building pallets of incoming material to be taken to the racks by other associates.

*Candidates will manage freight deliveries by processing, identifying, counting, separating, and scanning freight with computer software; placing on pallets or perhaps conveyance systems. *Candidates may cut open boxes/cases using a box cutter and may need to maintain logs.

Candidates must have impeccable attendance records as if they do not show up to work, not only does this create a perception issue with Walmart management, but could risk our associates not being able to work for the day. Candidates will be expected to communicate via text, email, and phone calls with Holly Saunders throughout the day/evening as needed and report on any issues that may arise.

Candidate will work hand in hand with Walmart management on coaching opportunities or any light disciplinary action conversations however their role is a working Lead and must be able to produce as the other associates would

*This is a Day shift Coordinator Role

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

All Roles must be able to lift 30-50 lbs Candidates Must bring Valid Picture ID Every day to work; this will be their Badge in the event they forgot theirs AND at times they ask for a second form of identification.

  • Candidates must have a proven track record of supervision or team Lead experience

Supervisors look for candidates that will lead and take ownership, can direct a team and work closely with the Walmart Supervisors and Team Leads.
