Nationwide Children's Hospital QI Accreditation/Risk Coordinator in Toledo, Ohio
The Quality Improvement Services (QIS) Accreditation/Legal Risk Coordinator assists in the evaluation, implementation, monitoring, and improvement of compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements and policies for Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s Toledo facility (“NCH Toledo”). This position works on a multi-disciplinary team and shares best practices among all areas of the hospital. In addition, this position is responsible for the development, implementation and management of effective systems to improve patient outcomes and mitigate risk at NCH Toledo.

Leads and manages surveys and continuous readiness activities.
Partners with hospital management and the legal department to guide practice and operations in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
Acts as a consultant to NCH Toledo departments/areas on all matters related to licensure and accreditation surveys, including surveys by The Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and Ohio Department of Health.
Responsible for the review and investigation of incident reports and customer/patient experience reports.
Collaborates with attorneys and risk managers within the Legal Services Department to identify and mitigate risk within all areas of NCH Toledo.
Works with the Legal Department to ensure timely reporting and processing of insurance claims.
Responsible for the implementation and management of a credible root cause analysis/risk management process for NCH Toledo.
Assistance and collaboration with the Medical Staff Office on Credentialing and Reappointment of practitioners.

Bachelor of Science or Nursing Degree. Master’s Degree preferred.
CPHQ certification preferred. CPPS certification preferred.
Strong verbal and written interpersonal communications.
Strong statistical, analytical, and organizational skills required to evaluate existing processes and recommend modifications.
At least (2-3) years working in a hospital and experience with survey readiness and accreditation related activities. Experience in investigation of incident reports preferred
