Role: Regional Sales Manager, Civilian Agencies
Location: Greater Washington, DC area

And our Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) are responsible for leading the extended Splunk team to help drive this value for our prospects and customers. It’s a seller’s responsibility to inspire, help, and even challenge our government agencies to do more with their data.

What We’re Looking For:
A measurable track record in new business development, customer growth, and over-achieving sales targets
Success in selling sophisticated software solutions
Success adapting in fast-growth and changing environments
Success building meaningful relationships with customers at every level – from end users to the C-suite
An experienced seller that knows how to deliver value and get results for their prospects & customers
Success orchestrating and aligning decision makers around a common objective
Be able to pick up, grasp, and convey value in sophisticated product offerings
Establish a vision and plan for continued pipeline generation and to execute your plan on-time
Research & understand your customer’s mission, needs, and challenges in depth
Identify and leverage the internal & external resources around you to deliver results
Land, adopt, expand, and deepen sales opportunities.
Expand relationships and orchestrate sophisticated deals across diverse business stakeholders
Become a master of Splunk’s internal processes
Diligently maintain CRM inputs and track progress
Always Be Curious
Minimum 7+ years of sales experience
5 + years of direct enterprise software sales experience
3+ years of current Civilian Agency related sales experience.
Experience covering the US Courts System and the US Department of Education is a plus.
You are an attested "hunter" willing to take on an acquisition territory and have fun doing so
Consistent track record of sales performance and knowledge of Federal Civilian sales
Comfortable and creative with white space, new customer demand and contract capture
Experience and credibility selling at the CxO and senior sales business manager level
Strong understanding and track record for forecasting business
High intellect and the capacity to multi-task
Excellent qualifying and closing skills
Business development, prospecting skills and ability to build strong partner relationships
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience will be considered
