Sirius Computer Solutions Marketing Strategist (Federal) in United States



Position Summary:

Sirius Federal, LLC, a subsidiary of Sirius Computer Solutions, Inc., is looking for a Marketing Strategist. This role is based out of the Federal office in Crofton, MD but could also be based in San Antonio, TX or Omaha, NE locations. (This is a hybrid role but will primarily be remote).

The primary purpose of this position is to work with all key federal solutions specialists including Alliance Managers, Sales, Engineering, Manufacturers and Marketing to develop go-to-market strategies for assigned IT solutions and services in the Public Sector. The candidate will be responsible for creating a strategic, consistent, and impactful outreach plan with a focus on lead generation and brand awareness. This person builds and maintains marketing relationship between Sirius Federal and assigned manufacturers. They work closely with the federal marketing team to ensure their GTM plan is executed timely while driving and measuring results as they engage federal agencies across the DoD, Civilian and Intelligence community.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with Brand Leaders, Alliance Managers, Partners, and Sales to determine the various use cases and audiences, customer pain points, decision making journey and potential customer triggers

  • Works with federal solutions specialists including Alliance Managers, Sales, Engineering, Manufacturers and Marketing to develop go-to-market strategies for assigned IT solutions and services in the Public Sector.

  • Plans lead generation and branding strategies based on organizational priorities, funding sources and resource allocation.

  • Maintains high-level view of all assets and creates communication/marketing campaigns that drives awareness.

  • Supports the organization with account-based marketing activities designed to drive customer generation, conversion, retention, and growth.

  • Creates successful digital lead generation campaigns and nurturing, converting MQL’s to SQL’s and moving prospects through the funnel.

  • Works within the marketing team, internal resources and third-parties to make sure plans are executed properly and on time.

  • Assists in communicating all marketing plans and messaging to leadership and appropriate sales teams ensuring they understand and are enabled with the messaging for their sales efforts.

  • Assists in reviewing content and creative developed for assigned solutions to be sure messaging and visuals are on point, on strategy, and on brand.

  • Establishing a close relationship with the rest of the marketing team (graphic design, event planning, digital, content) and cross functional partners to ensure strong brand awareness and content strategy.

  • Keeping current with emerging technologies and marketing trends. Provides suggestions on areas of improvement and offers suggestions for new technologies and tactics to explore.

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related business field

  • Familiarity with standard marketing concepts and practices

  • At least four (4) years marketing campaigns/events experience

    Other Position Requirements:

  • Demonstrated project management, presentation, organizational and follow-up skills

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and apply technical product information into client-facing demand generation tactics.

  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills

  • Experience in marketing campaigns, events and/or other marketing programs

  • Demonstrated computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Information Technology a plus

Essential FunctionsThe position exists Solution Marketing Specialist (a marketing strategy position) and as such provides marketing solutions to clients, and as such requires the ability to travel to more complex events as well as at times, partner planning meetings.
