Position Description :

Position Summary: Assists HR team with various HR functions and tasks; provides administrative support to CHRO and Business Partners as needed; delivers outstanding customer service while expanding HR knowledge and competencies through on the job learning experiences

Responsibilities:

• Updates employee records and new hire information in PfP as directed; assists with maintenance of employee personnel files and archiving upon termination; initiates HRIS/IT service requests as needed

• Assists with coordination and delivery of general orientation

• Assists with planning and coordinating employee appreciation and recognition event/activities

• Assists with tracking of compliance related to required trainings, immunizations, performance evaluations and other HR-generated tasks or projects

• Conducts HR-related research as directed

• Creates HR communications and presentations as directed

• Coordinates effective use of social media as part of talent acquisition strategy; screens resumes and applicant profiles as directed; assists with candidate onboarding and follow up

• Performs customer service activities by responding to employee requests and questions

• Participates in routine HR-related audits and JC readiness activities as directed

• Attends and participates in HR meetings and discussions as appropriate

• Assists with other HR projects and tasks as assigned

Minimum Requirements :

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; ideal candidate is an undergraduate or graduate student currently enrolled in a degree program with a human resources concentration; will also consider those in career transition currently pursuing HR education or certification

• Working knowledge of HR concepts, practices and key employment laws; previous work experience in an office setting is preferred

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills and customer service focus

• Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with people of diverse backgrounds and at all levels within the organization

• Strong administrative skills and attention to detail, demonstrated ability to balance multiple tasks and take direction from multiple sources

• Proficient in use of MS Office applications especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
