Our location in Westford, MA currently has an opportunity for a Principal Engineer – Secure Cloud Connectivity .
WHAT YOU’LL DO
You will work with a cross-functional team of researchers, developers, systems engineers, marketing and product support to enable secure network and cloud connections to Abbott medical devices.
Develop requirements to support both internal and external stakeholders.
Design secure connectivity architectures that meet requirements.
Work with R&D team to develop detailed design and interface specifications.
Participate in and support the agile development, enhancements, and modifications to software source code, scripts, and procedures.
Write, update, or execute test design, cases, as well as procedures and reports results.
Write, update, and maintain requirement and interface specifications.
Contribute to and support root-cause analysis of failures.
Present at design review; document and resolve issues.
Reviews project deliverables such as specifications, code, and test/tool procedures for feasibility, thoroughness, clarity, correctness, and accuracy.
Provides work direction and mentors other engineers.
Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Minimum 10 years:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related engineering field.
Lead the development of connected solutions for healthcare applications
Deep understanding of cybersecurity in connected environments.
Experience in creating requirements for product development
Collaboration with business, healthcare and technical users
Identify key drivers to help create and grow cloud strategy
Secure Cloud solution development
Experience in Agile developments
Product Owner for the cloud connectivity infrastructure
Master’s or PhD Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related engineering field
Product management skills
Experience in working with hospital IT infrastructure
